A total immersion in nature in all its elements is what this hike mainly offers, particularly suited for the more adventurous little ones.

The combination of fauna and flora along with the splendid site of Lago Santo creates the ideal conditions for a magnificent walk. This wonderful setting opens at 1,200 meters above sea level in the watershed basin formed by the millennial glacial erosion of porphyry.
The route follows a loop around the lake's perimeter, offering short stretches of natural beach, plenty of peace, nature, and clean air to breathe deeply, especially if you come from the cities.
The name "Santo" comes from a local legend that tells how once, where the lake now lies, there was land disputed by fierce quarrels among the heirs, so much so that one of them, exasperated, wished it would become a lake. From that moment, water began to rise from underground, threatening the nearby village of Cembra. The villagers, worried, made a pilgrimage to the land, and when the priest threw the Madonna’s ring into it, the water stopped. Since then, the place has been called Lago Santo.
