Panoramic route between Monte Agnello and the slopes of the Latemar.

The route runs along 3 themed trails that enrich the pleasure of walking in a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site with information and interactive stations: Latemar.Meteo leads to the discovery of the main notions related to atmospheric events. Geotrail Dos Capèl offers an immersion among rocks, plants and fossils that tell the story of the Dolomites. Latemar.Alp gives an insight into pasture management along the green meadows on the slopes of the Latemar.

Starting point

Agnello chairlift upper station

Directions

From Pampeago, take the Agnello chairlift (check opening times www.latemar.it) and turn left onto the path in the direction of the In.Treska hut. It is along this path that you can listen to the sound of hail and thunder, or discover guided by the Marmottix marmot how an avalanche is generated. The itinerary continues to the left along path no. 515, which follows a section of the Dos Capèl Geotrail, where there were once sea, shells and atolls. On reaching Passo Feudo, the route climbs up to the refuge of the same name, located on an excellent vantage point. This last stretch of ascent can be avoided by taking path no. 504 to the left.

For those who have ascended to the Passo Feudo refuge, take the road (ski slope) leading downhill to the mountain station of the Latemar chairlift, with which you can return to the starting point.

Two viewing platforms (at loc. Tresca and at Passo Feudo) provide information on the names of the surrounding peaks.

How to get there

From Cavalese and Predazzo head towards Tesero and take the road to Stava and Pampeago.
