An immersion in the Paneveggio Natural Park, between the green of the forest and high mountain pastures under the imposing Dolomite walls.

This wonderful itinerary crosses one of the most characteristic valleys of the area. The route takes place for the most part on a dirt road along the Val Venegia, until it reaches one of the most well-known tourist destinations in the Dolomite panorama, the Baita Segantini.

From this privileged observation point at 2,200 m asl, the vertical walls of the famous Pale di San Martino can be admired in all their beauty.

ATTENTION: from the Paneveggio Visitor Centre head along the provincial road in the direction of Passo Valles as far as the Val Venegia junction. The dirt road that runs alongside the Travignolo torrent is closed due to works.

Directions

This amazing itinerary goes through one of the most characteristic valleys of this area.

The trail runs mainly on a dirt road along Val Venegia, which leads to one of the most famous places in the Dolomites: Baita Segantini. From this privileged viewpoint at 2.200 m, you can admire the full beauty of the vertical mountain walls of the Pale di San Martino, standing right in front of them.

During the climb, long but with little difficulty, you can enjoy a nice stop at one of the mountain huts along the trail: Malga Venegia, Malga Venegiota, Malga Juribello, Baita Segantini and Capanna Cervino. On the way back, pay attention to the steep downhill section with rocks, followed by a single-track in the wood.
