On the trail of old huts. A nice walk through larch forests where you will find old wooden huts.
The first goal of this itinerary is Prà del Manz, the most loved larch forest in Capriana. To reach it, take the paved road that offers an enchanting view over the Cembra Valley and Valfloriana. We cross the porphyry quarry, characterized by vertical walls with a typical gray, purple and brown color. Prà dal Manz is a perfect place for families, hikers and bikers. Here you will find everything: the lawns for picnics, the paths that lead to the Monte Corno Nature Park, the Giocabosco, an original children's area perfectly integrated into nature. Our path continues in the woods until we reach the pastures of the "Pradi da Mont" which house the typical "mountain huts" of Capriana, the huts once used for summer pastures.
Capriana houses the Mill and the small Museum of the Meneghina, the young Domenica Lazzeri who, in the first half of the nineteenth century, was talked about for her talents and the stigmata she wore.

Directions
Set out from Piazza di Capriana along Via XXIII Novembre and Via Dallio G.Battista, then continue in the direction of Anterivo. After crossing the porphyry quarry walk for about 20 minutes along a surfaced road to the Prà dal Manz area.
At this point turn left onto a forest road that slopes gently upwards through a larch wood. After 300 meters take the road on the right until you reach a crossroads. Descend to the left along the cobbled road (also indicated as path N ° 482) until you reach a crossroads that indicates "Pra del Manz" and "Capriana" on the left. You walk in this direction until you reach the paved road you did at the beginning of your trip and return back to the village of Capriana.

How to get there
From Cavalese take the road for Molina di Fiemme and Val di Cembra. The junction for Capriana is on the right.
