Tired arms, tight shoes, and other joys: what climbing teaches us, one failure at a time
“Under a boulder, there are no boundaries; your gender, ethnicity, and religion don’t matter. Under the boulders, we are all equal, and if the world outside the forest wants us divided and competitive, we prefer to escape under the tree branches where wars do not exist, only sweat, magnesium, and the present moment, where falling is a natural and inevitable process, and we look back, proud of having made mistakes for so long.”
Brocchi Sui Blocchi is a communication project about sport climbing, founded by Amedeo Cavalleri. Through various channels, it tells the stories of the last, the weak, elevating them to characters worthy of having a story to tell. To date, Brocchi Sui Blocchi is the largest climbing community in Italy, with 38,000 followers on Instagram, 13,000 on Facebook, and 13,000 on TikTok.
In April 2024, the book Used to Falling was released, a witty and exciting tale of the vertical world, which is also a manifesto of its values of sharing, respect for others, and for the planet.
