“Olympic and sports marvels. From Garmisch 1936 to Fiemme 2013” an exhibition curated by Giuseppe Brigadoi, Silvano Morandini, Rufin Schulliam, Mariano Lollo, Luciano Dassala.
A journey through time that brings together memory, territory, and shared values: stories of sports, the Olympics, people, and communities that have made their mark.
The collecting aspect plays a very important role in the preservation and promotion of the history and culture of sports. Specifically, on the occasion of the year of the 2026 Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Villa Flora space opens its activities with a temporary exhibition centered around “olympic and sports marvels”.
The pathway offers a journey between the 1936 Winter Games in Garmisch and the World Championships of 2013, hosted in Val di Fiemme for the third time, presenting a mix of Olympic stories intertwined with the great sports tradition that has characterized this territory and these communities.
The exhibition is realized in collaboration with UICOS - Italian Union of Olympic and Sports Collectors, AICO - International Association of Olympic Collectors, the Historical Museum of the Alpine School in Predazzo, and the Historical Museum of the Guardia di Finanza.
