Proposal designed for those who wish to carve out some time for themselves, slow down, and experience how books can become opportunities for listening, reflection, and personal and relational growth. Bibliotherapy is a practice primarily widespread in the Anglo-Saxon world, based on the creative and guided use of literature to promote emotional awareness, imagination, relational skills, and well-being. It is not psychotherapy nor a healthcare intervention, but rather a method that uses shared reading to help individuals get to know themselves better, understand their emotions, and strengthen certain soft skills such as respect, sensitivity, and optimism.
Five meetings will follow starting January 7, on a weekly basis.
The program is offered in collaboration with the Glow Association and the Spazio Spumazer. Participation in the complete course requires a contribution of 50 euros, and registration must be done online by December 30 at the link: t.ly/jIsjy. More information is also available at the library.
The group will be limited in size to ensure an appropriate climate of listening and sharing.
Elisabetta Vanzetta is a librarian, an expert in children's and young adult literature, active in the field of promoting reading; she has trained through a Master's in Bibliotherapy at the University of Verona and continues her research and study in this area.
