The Monte Corno Visitor Center is located in the municipality of Trodena, within the nature park, in a building that is over 120 years old and was previously used as a mill. The centerpiece of the Visitor Center is the three-story elevator mill, restored and back in operation.
SUMMER EXHIBITIONS 2026
Permanent Exhibition
The permanent exhibition "Visible and Hidden Time" is suitable for visitors of all ages. You can admire a living anthill, listen to the calls of owls and tawny owls, and discover the lichens present in the Park. In a so-called "Loachnhittl" - a hut made of tree bark - you can hear the stories of the charcoal makers and discover long-forgotten trades such as those of peat extractors or "Lergetbohrer," who drilled larches to extract resin. The exhibition dedicated to "the history of the village of Trodena" is also interesting.
Exhibition "THE GOLDEN EAGLE"
At the information center Gfrill, Salorno.
This exhibition takes you into the world of the golden eagle - majestic, wild, and mysterious. It tells how the queen of the skies is doing today in South Tyrol. Between rocky walls and sky, you will discover its habitat, its challenges, and its successes. A captivating look behind the wings of a symbol of alpine freedom.
