Short climb to the wide panoramic terrace from which you can see the imposing towers and earth ridges of the Segonzano Pyramids, topped by the characteristic "porphyry hat." A masterpiece of nature visible from an exceptional position!

A suggestive walk full of discovery and wonder will lead anyone wishing to set out on this route to the majestic sight of the famous earth pyramids of Segonzano. The Earth Pyramids are located precisely in the Municipality of Segonzano, in Valle di Cembra, and are a natural masterpiece. Mainly made of earth and sand and topped by a porphyry boulder, they are a unique geological phenomenon in Trentino and rare in the world, not only because of their particular formation but also because of their incredible state of preservation.
The site is visitable all year round via a specially equipped and well-marked uphill path along the mountainside.
The viewing of the second group of pyramids, reachable in about 30 minutes of walking and where you can find a wide panoramic terrace from which it is possible to admire the entire surrounding landscape, is particularly recommended for both adults and children.

Before leaving, check the route status by contacting the refuge manager on your route, alpine guides, natural park visitor centers, and tourist offices.

Starting point
Kiosk at the Pyramids - Segonzano
Directions

Once you reach the Pyramids kiosk in the Segonzano area, following the Strada Provinciale Trasversale Valle di Cembra SP71, you can park in the designated space in front of the kiosk and then start the uphill route on foot. The famous earth pyramids stand out in three imposing earth groups located along the route at different distances from the starting point. Follow the signs and directions to reach the chosen group and return to the starting point via the outward road or take the full circuit of about 2.30 hours that leads to the visit of all groups.

In the pyramids area, at a short distance, it is also possible to reach the Wolf Waterfall, a natural site of great interest: after leaving the car in the parking lot at the entrance of Strada delle Strente, walk the short trail leading to the waterfall (10 min).

How to get there
Coming from the A22 Brenner freeway, either from the south or the north, exit at the Trento nord tollbooth (distance from the tollbooth 22.5 km), take the S.S. 12 del Brennero north to the Lavis junction, and then transit on the S.S. 612 Lavis - Castello di Fiemme, which leads to Valle di Cembra and the town of Segonzano.
Where to park

Free parking at the base of the Pyramids site.
