Montagna Senza Limiti - Old Bridge: a suspended story

As you might imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is closely linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before leaving, check the status of the route by contacting the refuge managers on your route, alpine guides, natural park visitor centres and tourist offices.

The route starts from the playground parking lot of Ziano di Fiemme, where there are two disabled parking spaces. Exiting the parking lot, immediately turn right along Via Verdi and follow the sidewalk, turn right and, just before the bridge, again to the right onto the dirt road (beaten and compact ground) that runs alongside the Avisio stream. Upon reaching the bridge, cross the road (paying attention) and continue the route (now asphalted) up to the Panchià football field. Here you return to a wide and well-maintained dirt road until you reach the historic covered wooden bridge (unique in Trentino). It is recommended to cross the bridge with extreme caution: the lighting is poor, visibility is limited and vehicle traffic, although limited, is still present. 

Just after the bridge, turn left and enter the porphyry paved sidewalk leading to the underpass of the valley bottom road. Shortly after, turn right and take the cycle path that goes up towards the small wood and then crosses the meadows before reaching the hamlet of Zanolin with its characteristic wooden and masonry houses. Cross the road (paying attention) and continue on the cycle path to another underpass, after which you must take the dirt road on the left. You again follow the Avisio stream, passing under the Acropark. At the end of the dirt road, turn left and cross the Roda bridge and stay on the sidewalk until you reach the playground parking lot of Ziano again.
