THE 10 RULES FOR HIKERS
As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is closely linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before leaving, check the condition of the route by contacting the refuge manager on your route, alpine guides, natural park visitor centers, and tourist offices.
Go up using the two sections of the Bellamonte 3.0 cable car. Once at the top, take the path signposted Malga Bocche. The first 250 meters of the path are the most "challenging" due to the presence of some roots and some wooden gutters which, however, are easily passable. Upon reaching the forest road, turn right. The first part has flat stones where it is necessary to proceed slowly. Afterwards, the ground is more compact and the few stones are easily avoided.
The itinerary runs inside the Paneveggio Natural Park – Pale di San Martino, passing through pastures dotted with wooden huts and forests of red firs and stone pines. The view ranges from Cima Viezzena, to the Lagorai Chain and ends with a fantastic panorama of the Pale di San Martino.
At km 3.7 begins the more demanding climb (400 meters, average gradient 11%) with a rougher surface and sections of flat rock that can be overcome by zigzagging and with a push from behind. After this stretch, you leave the woods, the road levels out, and you are rewarded with a view of the Pale di San Martino. To access Malga Bocche, follow the road at the base of the hill and climb diagonally through the meadow, as the last part of the road is too steep and rough.
Malga Bocche is wheelchair accessible. The outdoor WC at Malga Bocche is accessible.
Chalet 44 (top station of the cable car) is wheelchair accessible and has an accessible WC.
From Predazzo take the road to Passo Rolle. After the village of Bellamonte, turn left towards the Castelir facilities.
Large parking areas near the ski lifts.
Disabled parking spot to the left of the cable car departure point.
Only with 4x4 wheelchair. Click here to rent Magic Mobility Extreme, an off-road electronic wheelchair, to easily and safely tackle all types of terrain and overcome small obstacles.
