The Sellaronda is one of the most iconic cycling routes in the Dolomites.
This loop crosses four spectacular Alpine passes: Passo Campolongo, Passo Pordoi, Passo Sella and Passo Gardena, offering breathtaking views and an unforgettable cycling experience. The Sellaronda can be tackled clockwise or anticlockwise:
Clockwise: official route of the Maratona dles Dolomites, with more gradual climbs.
Counter-clockwise: Sellaronda Bike Day route, with more technical descents.
The Sellaronda Bike Day allows you to enjoy this famous route with the roads are closed to traffic.
Please note that the practicability of the itineraries in a mountain environment is strictly linked to the contingent conditions and is therefore influenced by natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this page may have changed. Before leaving for a tour, make sure the path you will approach is still accessible by contacting the owner of the mountain hut, the alpine guides or the visitor centres of the nature parks, the info offices of the local tourist board.
Sella Pass: the steepest part is in the first half of the climb, the rest is relatively easy
Gardena Pass: the hardest of the 4 climbs, but not difficult
Campolongo Pass: very short
Pordoi Pass: long but not difficult
If you go anti-clockwise, you avoid the harder ramps of the Passo Sella. Breathtaking panoramas everywhere!
