Eleonora Costa, humanitarian worker for IPSIA will be a guest at La Stazione/destination culture of Predazzo as part of the ConVersazioni series. An important meeting to better understand the migratory phenomenon known as the Balkan route.
On the occasion of the 11th week of Welcome promoted by CNCA Trentino Alto Adige with the theme “Inequalities. Communities in motion for fairer societies” La Stazione / cultural destination has organized a special event to try to understand from within the phenomenon known as The Balkan Route, which for several decades has played a central role in the evolution of migratory phenomena directed towards the European Union.
Thursday, October 2 at 5:30 PM for the series ConVersaZioni we are pleased to host Eleonora Costa, humanitarian worker from IPSIA _ Institute of Peace Development Innovation of ACLI. Born in 1993 and raised in the Modena area, Eleonora graduated in International Studies from the University of Trento. Fascinated by the world of mediation and conflict resolution, she studied at Uppsala University (Sweden) and obtained an MSSc in Peace and Conflict Studies. She met IPSIA in 2019 in the refugee camps along the Balkan Route, during her Civil Service period in Serbia. Since the winter of 2021, she has been working in Bihac, at the local IPSIA office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, for two years. Today she is involved in communication and everything related to the world of social media.
Through the recounting of her personal experience in the refugee camps and with scientific data in hand, Eleonora will help us better understand and delve into this migratory phenomenon of which little is often said and depicted in limited ways. We wanted to take the opportunity of the Week of Welcome to delve into this tragic daily reality that all too often goes unheard.
Participation is free and welcome.
