M’illumino di Meno is the National Day of Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles, created in 2005 by Rai Radio2 with the program Caterpillar. M’illumino di Meno is celebrated every year on February 16 to promote the culture of environmental sustainability and resource conservation.
This year we are also happy to participate in this national initiative by proposing a walk through the woods and farms of Grumes, a place where time seems to have stood still. We will reach “El Casel dei Masi”, which was once the cooperative cheese dairy of the Masi di Grumes and is now a cozy venue lovingly managed by Barbara and Guido. Here, we will have an aperitif and a chat with Lavinia Laiti, an environmental engineer specializing in climate adaptation, passionate about climate action and environmental protection.
We will end the day celebrating M’illumino di meno with simplicity and conviviality, enjoying a warm rural soup by candlelight.
The taste of change is the title of an enlightening book rich in concrete proposals for giving the planet a future, born from the dialogue between Carlo Petrini, founder of Slow Food, and Gaël Giraud, economist, theologian, and Jesuit. You can find it here
The walk will take place even with uncertain weather and will only be canceled in the event of particularly adverse weather conditions (in this case, registered participants will be notified by phone).
