The Giro del Solombo, behind the settlement of Carano, is a very varied route, both in terms of road gradients and the different types of vegetation that appear along the trail.
MONTAGNA SENZA LIMITI is a project presenting routes accessible with an electric wheelchair.
The route is almost entirely immersed in a forest of red firs, pines and larches, but also hazels and birches, perfect for warm days. At the start, just after the barrier, there is a small hunters' hut (closed) with a nice lawn with tables and benches that can be used for a picnic.
The first part of the route (4.5 km) develops on a dirt road that is almost always compact. From the Ganzaie hotel to Maso dello Speck there are 2 km of asphalt, while the last stretch is first dirt (400 m) and then asphalt (550 m). In the initial part, looking downhill you can catch sight of the Vecchia Stazione locality. Continuing along the route, always on the left, you can then spot the villages of Aguai and San Lugano, recognizable by the Gothic parish church dating back to the 1500s. After the panoramic stretch comes the more demanding part with some steep climbs, easily overcome with a 4x4 wheelchair.
In the second part of the route, you will be accompanied on the left by a magnificent larch forest and on the right by the view of the Lagorai Chain.

THE 10 RULES FOR HIKERS
As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is strictly linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before setting off, check the status of the route by contacting the managers of the huts on your path, alpine guides, visitor centers of natural parks and tourist offices.
After passing the barrier near the parking lot and the hunters' hut, a fork appears: take the road to the right. The first part of the route is the easiest part because, in addition to being flat, you will hardly feel any jolts, except in points where occasionally on the right there are some bigger stones.
As you go along, the route becomes a bit more challenging because some stones slide down from the right side, but these can easily be avoided by keeping to the left. After 2.2 km from the start, various steep climbs alternate with short flatter stretches (a total of 600 metres, maximum gradient 12%). Attention is necessary, but the climbs do not present particular difficulties.
Back on the flat section, the environment changes, firs give way to larches, while on the right a meadow encourages light and sunshine. Continuing along the road you can admire on the right the long Lagorai Chain. The road becomes asphalted, running through the meadows (watch out for vehicles). After a downhill stretch turn right towards Maso dello Speck, passing beside a small pond.
A little further on you will find a barn with various grazing animals, including horses, donkeys, and cows, and Maso dello Speck (accessible restaurant/bar). After passing Maso the road becomes dirt again, at the fork turn left entering the small wood. At the end of the short gentle climb turn left and then continue right (ignoring the downhill road) until you exit the wood. Here there is a small ford, fun to cross. Turn left onto the downhill asphalted road until you reach the parking lot in Loc. Calvello.
From Cavalese head to Carano and continue towards the locality "Calvello".
Possibility of parking in a flat dirt lot just before the barrier.
