The route is located on a hill between the villages of Varena and Tesero, behind the village of Cavalese and at the foot of Mount Cucàl. It offers a beautiful view of the lower part of the valley.
For most of the route you will be surrounded by meadows with some cherry, Scots pine and birch trees. On sunny days the peaks of the Lagorai Chain will be clearly visible. Lower down, however, the bell towers of Cavalese, Castello di Fiemme, and Ville di Fiemme tower above. In addition to Mount Cucàl, on the return you will always have in front of you Mount Cornon with its steep walls.
Along the route there are some benches where companions can rest and two drinking fountains, one of which is carved from a trunk.

THE 10 RULES FOR HIKERS
As you can imagine, the passability of routes in a mountain environment is closely linked to current conditions and therefore depends on natural phenomena, environmental changes, and weather conditions. For this reason, the information contained in this sheet may have changed. Before leaving, find out about the status of the route by contacting the hut managers on your route, mountain guides, visitors centers of natural parks, and tourist offices.
From the parking lot, head left onto the flat paved road (behind the Terna power plant) which turns into a dirt road after 100 meters. Here the slope slightly increases and the road surface is a bit uneven. Later, the dirt road has a compact surface and can be traveled without difficulty, with only some small potholes (which can be bypassed). At the beginning of the route there is an interesting sign from the Right Avisio Reserve Network with explanations about the local flora and fauna.
After 2.5 km the road returns to being paved and turns left alongside a small grove. Upon reaching the intersection with the wooden bench-fountain, turn right onto the steep road that leads to the first houses (steepest point: length 170 meters, maximum slope 13%) and the tennis court, five-a-side football field with bar restaurant. Proceed on the flat road to the right for 800 meters. At the fork, go downhill soon reaching the dirt road taken on the way there which will bring you back to the starting point.
Although most of the route takes place on a dirt road, it is possible to encounter cars or tractors, pay attention!
On the SS48 road, between Cavalese and Tesero, at the height of Agricamping Perlaie, take the road to the campsite and continue to the small square in front of the power plant.
Small parking lot in front of the power plant.
