Trekking through the silent woods and precious reserves of the Alta Val di Cembra and Monte Corno Park. An immersion in an environment still intact and waiting to be discovered.

The proposed path leads you to the discovery of something special, something unusual. You will not encounter rock towers or inviolate peaks, but something smaller and perhaps less conspicuous, but just as precious. You will be surrounded by the forests that separate the Adige Valley from the Cembra Valley; an area that straddled two worlds even in Roman times. You will encounter witnesses of the past and present of this mountain, first and foremost the peat bogs, ancient lakes of glacial origin where the peat has progressively reduced the water surface, creating an environment incredibly favourable to biodiversity. In addition, there are mills and boundary stones that narrate forgotten events. At the end of the day, you will find the warmth of the refuge: a plate of soup and a glass of wine will help you to cheerfully remember what happened during the day and to dream about the next day's stage.

Itinerary designed and implemented by Sviluppo Turistico Grumes in collaboration with the Network of Reserves Valle di Cembra - Avisio, the Natural Park of Monte Corno, the subjects of tourism promotion and numerous private operators.

Directions

STAGE 3 (From Rifugio Malga Monte Corno to Pochi di Salorno)

Behind the hut, take path no. 9 to Hackelboden - Casignano, which passes below the summit of Monte Corno (1,781m). Crossing Selva di Casignano, you first descend on a road and then on a zigzag path (no. 9), crossing the gravel road several times. When you reach a level road, turn left, reaching the Hackelboden hut after 100 metres. Behind the hut, the path (no. 9) descends to the forest road where it turns left. You reach a fork in the road and, following the road that climbs sharply to the left, head towards the Cauria pass. From the pass, still on the road (No. 4), you descend to the village of Cauria. Just before the village, on the right, take the path (No. 2-7-8) until you reach the provincial road. Just beyond the widening, on the right, take the forest road signposted Laghetti (path no. 7). One descends and enters a deep valley. Stay true to the signs for ‘Laghetti’ until the road, on a paved section after loc. Le Seghe, comes to a hairpin bend at a stone bridge (Roman bridge). Take the Dürer path (Dürerweg) to the left, which climbs from the Kloesterle in Laghetti to Pochi di Salorno.
