It was 1966 when a group of breeders from Val di Fiemme decided to meet, believing that unity could generate strength and competitiveness in the market. And so it was. The Caseificio Sociale Val Fiemme was born.
The goal, from the very beginning, was to enhance the naturalness and genuineness of the products. This choice proved to be a winning one, as today there are more than 80 members pursuing the same objective, adhering to strict consortium regulations requiring an absolutely natural diet for the livestock to ensure the best quality milk, and a processing and aging completely free of anti-fermentatives, preservatives, and colorings.


Thanks to 7 mountain pastures for cattle and 1 pasture for goats, the animals can feed, from May to September, on fresh herbs rich in unique aromas and beta-carotene. The Caseificio Sociale Val Fiemme can thus produce, in the summer season, also the "Malga Cheeses", characterized by the straw-yellow color of the paste and an unmistakable mountain flavor.
All stages of production take place in the territory from which the members of the Caseificio Sociale Val di Fiemme come: Malga Salanzada in Cavalese, which also produces Puzzone di Moena DOP in the "Malga" variant, Malga Fraul in Anterivo which produces small quantities even protected by the Slow Food Presidio, and then Malga Cislon in Trodena, Malga Copara in Varena, Malga Pampeago in Tesero, Malga Daiano in Ville di Fiemme, Malga Cadinello, and for goats, Malga Agnelezza, both in Castello-Molina di Fiemme.

Besides giving a characteristic touch to the products, this guarantees the consumer a product made from very fresh milk, originating in an unspoiled environment. The Caseificio Sociale Val Fiemme indeed surprises with its cow's and goat's cheeses. While the appreciated Formae Val di Fiemme offers strong and unique aromas, different for each aging, the Trentingranareturns the scent of flowering pastures.
The entire supply chain is regulated by particularly strict standards that ensure healthy and genuine products, free from GMOs and preservatives, the result of a cheese-making tradition passed down from generation to generation. In addition to the regulations, some values guide the steps of the Caseificio, such as respect for genuineness and the environment or the value of family. Loyalty, love, and solidarity nourish collaborations every day, like in a true family. The value of trust is important, translating into reliability, seriousness, and professionalism. Meanwhile, the value of milk care is guaranteed by collection in containers sourced from non-intensive mountain farms and zero km, with local breeds.


Must-tries include Formae Val Fiemme Riserva, the lines “Introvabili”, “Classici”, “Immancabili” and the “Fresca Fiemme” products that celebrate the land from which they come with milk, cream, panna cotta, and yogurt.
The shop, located at via Nazionale 8 in Ville di Fiemme, has a window that allows all customers to witness the cheese-making process.
